Maud Demarty obtained her pH.D. in Biology/Limnology in 2009 from UQAM, where she studied the role of aquatic plants in lake carbon budgets. After having held the positions of project manager, team leader and project leader in environmental and engineering firms, she founded Aqua-Consult with Charles Deblois in 2019. She specializes in technical and biological surveys of major aquatic projects (ports, hydroelectric, mining) in Québec, Canada or internationally. She regularly publishes in scientific journals or in newsletters of international organizations.

In September 2019, he created Aqua-Consult with the aim of providing quality services in monitoring aquatic environments. Mr. Deblois specializes in instrumentation and designs instrumented buoys, wich allow real-time measurements of environmental variables. He designs easy-to-use measurement systems, that are suitable for field work, based onyears of experience he acquiered working on projects in remote environments, from boreal to equatorial.
